Progress – Network operations and file transfer

SYNEDAT maps Progress infrastructure products to your operating tasks: delivering applications, monitoring networks and transferring files under control. We define dependencies and ownership before introducing tools.

Choose technology, plan integration, prepare operations.

Which product family fits your needs?

Flowmon

Analyze network flows for performance and security questions. SYNEDAT checks exporters, visibility and suitable alert thresholds.

MOVEit

Plan file transfers with defined recipients and traceable workflows. Interfaces, key rotation and updates belong in the operating plan.

License scope, availability, term and support are reviewed for your project and specified in the quote.

Where the solution adds value

Prepare applications for failures

We test failure, maintenance and recovery of backend systems. Acceptance covers real sign-in, active sessions and business transactions.

Organize recurring file exchanges

SYNEDAT inventories partners, schedules and failure cases. Retries, acknowledgments and escalations are defined per transfer and checked with test data.

What matters when choosing

Users and applications
User count alone is not enough for planning. We consider applications, concurrent connections, sites and required availability.
Physical requirements
Radio conditions, cabling, ports, PoE budget and rack mounting affect selection. For hardware, we check the exact model and compatible accessories.
Management and expansion
Cloud or local management, operational access and expansion are agreed up front so new components fit your existing network architecture.

From selection to deployment

  1. Define requirements and objectives

We review systems, users, security requirements and budget. The result is a reasoned selection with a defined scope.

  2. Validate suitability in a pilot

For an agreed pilot, we define tests, acceptance criteria and responsibilities. You receive a documented basis for the investment decision.

  3. Plan rollout and operations

We plan migration, configuration, handover and support together. Scope and responsibilities are agreed before rollout.

Questions to help you decide

Must all Progress products be deployed together?

No. Selection follows the task. SYNEDAT checks which tool closes an existing gap and how it fits monitoring and operations.

How is ongoing maintenance addressed?

We agree version reviews, security updates, backup and recovery before launch. Publicly reachable services receive named owners and response paths.

How do you plan Wi-Fi across several sites?

We consider buildings, devices, applications and roaming. Radio planning and, where needed, a site survey establish access point placement, channel planning and acceptance criteria.

Must all components come from one manufacturer?

Not necessarily. Supported standards, management interfaces and the intended operating model matter. We check dependencies and vendor-specific features before selection.

Can I request a demo or pilot first?

Yes. Tell us your intended use case. We will discuss available evaluation options, prerequisites, effort and acceptance criteria. A pilot is agreed separately before it starts.

What does SYNEDAT need for a quote?

Useful details include product family, deployment location, current systems, user or device count and target date. We clarify open points together and distinguish the product, implementation and ongoing services in the quote.

Can SYNEDAT help with rollout and ongoing operations?

We agree the services you need, such as architecture, integration, migration, documentation or operational support. Vendor support, response times and ongoing assistance are explicitly defined in the agreed scope.
