Security products
Choose security products that address your security needs.
A product list alone cannot show what will help your organization. We connect security product selection with your data, workflows and existing tools. A clear use case, a testable pilot and practical operational planning provide the basis for an investment your teams can use effectively.

Security that fits your organisation

SMEs: protection with manageable operational effort
When a small team handles many IT responsibilities, clear priorities and practical administration matter. We start with your key systems, existing licences and capacity to handle updates, alerts and support.

Enterprises: consistent controls across teams
Across multiple locations and business units, roles, integrations and exceptions need to work together. We structure selection and pilots around responsibilities, technical dependencies and the requirements of a phased rollout.

From your requirements to practical results
Start with a specific gap: confidential messages, excessive administrator rights, distributed endpoints or a backlog of vulnerabilities. We turn your needs into selection criteria and test suitable capabilities in your environment. The vendor examples below address different security tasks. Product editions, procurement, licenses and support are checked for the proposed scope.
Confidential communication with SEPPmail
SEPPmail offers email encryption and digital signature solutions. We review message routes, recipients, certificates and integration with your email environment. Additional capabilities, such as large file transfers or cloud deployment, are selected according to your needs.

Firebox products provide network security and controlled connectivity. Selection considers sites, traffic, VPN requirements and the security services needed. We plan rules, migration and administration so your team can manage the solution in daily use.

Sophos Endpoint provides protection against malware, exploits and ransomware. Operating systems, existing agents and required capabilities determine the appropriate edition. A pilot checks application compatibility, alert handling and support workflows.

Delinea products address different aspects of privileged credentials and access. We distinguish credential vaulting, administrative access and endpoint privileges. Roles, emergency access and responsibilities are planned alongside product selection.

Exposure Command brings together attack surface, vulnerability and risk context information. We review data sources, coverage and how findings reach the teams responsible. The selected scope needs a practical process for prioritizing and addressing findings.

A useful comparison considers integrations, data storage, administration and ongoing effort. We document pilot findings, open issues and the agreed rollout. Training, operational documentation and support boundaries form part of the plan.

This guide connects the product examples with practical evaluation questions. These areas complement each other; selection and licensing depend on your environment.
| Security need | Product example | What the pilot should demonstrate |
|---|---|---|
| Confidential email | SEPPmail | External recipients can use the intended encrypted communication path; certificates and exceptions are addressed. |
| Networks and locations | WatchGuard Firebox | Required connections work with the planned rules; administration and rollback procedures are tested. |
| Endpoints and workplaces | Sophos Endpoint | Business applications remain usable; detections, exceptions and handover to support are traceable. |
| Privileged credentials | Delinea Secret Server | Selected accounts have owners; access, password changes and emergency procedures are tested in a controlled scope. |
| Vulnerabilities and attack surfaces | Rapid7 Exposure Command | Findings reach responsible teams with a priority, an assigned action and a way to verify remediation. |
Delinea Secret Server: take control of privileged credentials
Shared administrator passwords and scattered credentials make control difficult. Secret Server provides a central vault with discovery, access control and automated password changes. SYNEDAT connects these capabilities with your actual administration workflows.
Make accounts visible
Discovery and inventory help establish an overview of privileged accounts. In the project, we identify owners, target systems and priorities.
Make access accountable
Roles and approvals structure access to credentials. We align permissions and evidence with the responsible teams.
Automate password changes in a controlled way
Rotation can reduce manual password maintenance. We check service accounts, dependencies and recovery paths before expanding the scope.
A focused pilot to support your decision
A useful starting point includes selected account types and target systems, assigned owners and tests for access, rotation and emergencies. Product edition, operating model and required integrations are checked in advance.
Explore Delinea servicesFour outcomes for your investment decision
- An assessment of mandatory requirements with documented gaps.
- An integration overview covering data flows, roles and responsibilities.
- A defined rollout scope with rollback and handover planning.
- A cost breakdown for licences, implementation and agreed ongoing services.
A clear path to deployment
Define needs and criteria
We identify the security need, affected systems and existing products. This produces a prioritized requirements list and a useful framework for comparison.
Test capabilities in your own environment
A bounded pilot tests real workflows, exceptions and alert handling. Results and deviations are documented.
Deploy and hand over responsibilities
Configuration, cutover, fallback procedures and operational tasks are agreed. Your teams receive the defined documentation and training.
What you receive
- A well-founded product selection based on your requirements.
- Documented pilot findings and a coordinated implementation plan.
- Clear operational tasks, handover documentation and a transparent basis for a proposal.

Which security product is right for us?
This depends on your security needs, systems and available operational resources. We derive selection criteria from your requirements and test suitable candidates in a pilot. A feature comparison alone cannot replace this practical assessment.
Do existing products have to be replaced?
Existing solutions and contracts are evaluated first. Suitable functions can continue to be used and supplemented in a targeted manner. A replacement makes sense if specific gaps, integration problems or economic reasons justify it.
What should a product pilot show?
A pilot should test typical workflows, technical integration, administration and exception handling. False alerts, user impact, fallback procedures and handover also belong in the agreed evaluation criteria.
Are all of the above features included in every license?
No. Product editions, optional services, supported systems and license terms differ. The required scope is specified before an order is placed. Vendor services and SYNEDAT services are clearly identified in the proposal.
How are alerts and vulnerabilities handled?
Detection needs a follow-up process. We clarify which events are received, who assesses them, how tasks are assigned and who approves changes. Existing ticketing, monitoring and security systems can be included.
What deployment costs should we consider beyond the license?
Relevant factors include analysis, integration, migration, testing, training and documentation. Ongoing maintenance, data storage and support also contribute to total cost. The proposal describes these items for the agreed scope.
Does a security product automatically establish compliance?
A product can support technical controls and evidence collection. Responsibilities, processes and organizational requirements must also be addressed. We clarify the evidence needed with the responsible teams during the project.
How can we start product selection with SYNEDAT?
Describe the security need, affected systems and existing tools. A selection assessment defines the open questions and a suitable pilot. You receive a specific next step with defined deliverables and effort.
Cloud, on-premises or hybrid operations?
The available product variants, your operational resources, data flows and integration requirements are decisive. We compare suitable models against these criteria and clarify updates, availability and recovery.
How do we start with Secret Server when many accounts are involved?
We first define a representative scope with the responsible teams. Account types, dependencies and emergency access are recorded. We plan gradual expansion after the agreed pilot checks.
Which security need would you like to address?
Describe your environment, existing products and main challenge. We help define a suitable selection assessment or pilot and the deliverables for your proposal.
