Backup, disaster recovery & business continuity
Make recovery a process you can verify.
A successful backup report does not tell you how quickly a business process can resume. We connect backup and recovery planning with your operational priorities. Applications, identities, dependencies and responsibilities are considered together and verified through agreed tests, giving you evidence of recovery readiness and the improvements still needed.

Your options
Services that move your project forward
Prioritize business processes and goals
We clarify which processes must be available again first and which data loss would be justifiable. Technical goals are coordinated with the responsible departments.
Prioritize recovery according to business impact.
Capture systems and dependencies
Applications, databases, files, identities and external services are considered in their recovery order. Missing access and documentation become apparent at an early stage.
Understand the dependencies required to restore operations.
Design the backup architecture
The scope of backup, schedules, retention, and suitable separate copies are planned to suit the protection requirements. Access rights and protection of the backup environment are part of this.
A comprehensible concept for your data and systems.
Test recovery in practice
We restore agreed data and applications in an appropriate environment. Recovery time, integrity, access and business functionality are checked against defined criteria.
Evidence of what your backups can restore and where gaps remain.
Coordinate incident procedures and communication
Decisions, contact persons, transitions and necessary replacement processes are documented. Technical restart and operational coordination are intertwined.
Teams know which tasks and decisions follow one another.
Establish regular reviews and testing
New systems, changed data volumes and organizational changes are included in the review. Test dates and those responsible keep the concept usable.
The recoverability will continue to be checked after the project.
Where to start
Backup, disaster recovery & business continuity Use cases
Three example situations show how we can help.
Backups are running, recovery has hardly been tested
A targeted restore test examines selected data and applications. The result shows which measures are useful before a major failure.
An important business process must not stand still for long
We record the systems required for this and coordinate restart targets with the department. This results in suitable technical and organizational measures.
Cloud and on-premises systems must start together
Applications are spread across multiple operating locations. An overarching approach takes into account identities, data access, and the correct order of recovery.
From requirements to results
A clear process with agreed milestones
Identify critical business processes
We assess business priorities, existing backups and technical dependencies.
Agree on objectives and procedures
We agree backup coverage, recovery order, responsibilities and test criteria.
Implementation and testing
Suitable measures and restore tests show whether the agreed conditions are met.
Document results and ongoing responsibilities
Findings, recovery instructions and recurring tests are integrated into the operational processes.
Your benefit
What you receive
- A coordinated backup and recovery concept.
- Documented dependencies, goals, and restart sequences.
- Results of the agreed restore tests with prioritized improvements.
- Practical emergency and operational documentation for the responsible teams.
Ways to work with us
Choose a starting point that fits your needs. We agree the scope and required effort in a tailored proposal.
Backup and restore check
For clarity: scope of backup, dependencies, and prioritized gaps.
Restore test and recovery plan
For verifiable results: a defined recovery test, documented procedures and specific improvements.
Ongoing recovery readiness support
For continued readiness: agreed tests, plan updates and review of results.
Questions before you get started
What do RPO and RTO mean?
Recovery point objective (RPO) expresses the maximum acceptable data loss as a time interval. Recovery time objective (RTO) defines the target time for restoring service. Both should be agreed for the business process and assessed against technical capabilities, costs and test results.
Does having backups mean we have a recovery plan?
Backups are one part of recovery. Dependencies, access, responsibilities, recovery order and functional verification also need to be defined. We bring these elements together in an agreed plan.
Why are separate or immutable copies relevant?
Suitably separated backup copies can reduce dependence on individual systems or accesses. Immutability depends on product, configuration, and retention rules. We review the specific model, including administrative rights and recovery.
Can restore tests affect production systems?
Tests are planned with suitable environments and clear boundaries. Data access, network connections and necessary capacity are taken into account. Possible effects and required time windows are specified in advance.
How are cloud data and SaaS applications included?
We review the responsibilities and available backup and restore capabilities of the specific service. Retention, export, and restart are different tasks. Additional solutions are evaluated based on requirements.
How often should recoveries be tested?
This depends on the need for protection, changes and operational requirements. A sensible plan combines regular tests with additional checks after significant changes. Results and necessary corrections are documented.
Is business continuity just an IT task?
No. Departments and management must help shape critical processes, replacement procedures, communication and priorities. We support the technical basis and its coordination with those responsible for operations.
Can you guarantee a specific recovery time?
Any binding commitment needs an agreed service scope, prerequisites and measurement method. Recovery tests provide evidence for setting realistic objectives and deciding which further measures are needed.
Discuss your next step
How well prepared are you to restore critical operations?
Tell us which business process matters most and how it is currently backed up. We will define an appropriate assessment or recovery test.
